2Baba's musical excellence is not something of hidden knowledge to everyone, the artist whose career spans over two decades was inducted into the school of Music of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University three years ago. The artist gave back to the school massively by building a multi-million dollar music studio.
He shared some videos about his contribution to the music department of OAU on his Instagram page on Tuesday night. The artists commissioned a multi-million naira music studio he built for the music department.
“Sometimes ago, I was honoured by the Great OAU as I was inducted into the school of music as a fellow of the school's department of music,” the artist captioned his Instagram post.
The artist also reveals his plan to build the same for his hometown university in a matter of time.
“Today I just commissioned the multi-million #studio I built for the music department in OAU Ile-ife. Up next is Benue State University #GRATEFUL #WARRIOR.”
The artist was honoured with the award of fellow of the school of music on 20th March 2019 by OAU’s Department of Music.
“Being the torch-bearer for the new pop movement is a role I do not take lightly, and I am honoured to have been found worthy of such noble albeit enormous responsibility.” The artist explains the huge importance of this milestone.
