Nigerian rapper, Goya Menor has informed fans why his smash tune 'Ameno Amapiano (remix)' was removed from some streaming platforms.

Spotify once removed the song, after which it was brought back.

As explained by the rapper In an interview with City FM's Melody Hassan, the rapper clarified that 'Ameno Amapiano (Remix)' is owned by Goya Menor and Ghanaian record producer Nektunez. But the song samples 'Ameno' by French new-age musical project Era.

The rapper stated that the song had been cleared initially by Nektunez. However, the remix surpassed the agreed number of streams, hence the reason why it was removed.

Goya made it clear that the right authorities were contacted and the song was dully cleared, which resulted in it coming back on the streaming platforms.

Sampling any form of intellectual property requires the user to contact the other party that owns such property, which Goya had done twice.
