Afrobeats vocalist Michael Adebayo Olayinka, also known as Ruger, has raised concerns regarding less talented performers in Nigeria gaining popularity in the music sector as a result of extensive marketing efforts.

He expressed his dismay over the impact this trend has had on him, noting that individuals lacking skill can achieve widespread recognition simply by investing in promotion - a move very common nowadays.

Taking to his social media platform, Ruger remarked, "It pains me to see the music industry suffer because even subpar artists can succeed with the right financial backing."

Additionally, he criticized the prevalent use of auto-tune by certain artists, particularly during live performances.

"Let's address the excessive reliance on auto-tune when performing," he urged.

"In the future, please instruct your engineer to silence the audio when you are preparing to speak, as there have been issues with the sound quality during your presentations."

Well, Ruger does not require that material. "Gratitude," he penned.
