Tiwa Savage becomes the first ever Nigerian artist to receive this honorary invitation.

The Queen of Afrobeats Tiwa Savage has received an invitation to perform at the forthcoming enthroning ceremony of King Charles III, the British ruler, following the death of the Queen, Queen Elizabeth II.

The prestigious event is set to take place on the 6th of May Saturday 2023, at Westminster Abbey in London.

The acclaimed Nigerian singer will join a lineup of performers, names like Lang Lang, Paloma Faith, DJ Pete Tong, Olly Murs, and Steven Winwood are set to thrill audiences during the coronation and launch on 7th Of May, 2023 Sunday, just a day after the coronation.

Massive congrats to the former Mavin Record act, this is no doubt a significant career milestone as she is set to be the first artist to perform.

The event marks the official ascension of King Charles III and Camilla his Queen Consort to the throne after the death of Queen Elizabeth II his mother.

“We are excited to announce that Tiwa Savage will perform at the coronation concert alongside other world-class musicians. Tiwa Savage is an exceptional artist with a unique blend of African and Western sounds. We are confident that her performance will add color and excitement to the event,” says the organizers.
