The new #YBNL sensation was live on the midday show with Do2dtun and Eve to premiere his first body of work “Ololade” EP. The artiste, who was recently signed under YBNl revealed how Olamide signed him, and also how he struggled in the industry.
“How did Olamide sign you?” Do2dtun asked, and he disclosed a really insightful story on how he struggled under a record label, “They wasted four years out of my life”, he delineated how the label made a lot of promises and they never fulfilled any.
Asake, however explains how long he as been texting and begging Olamide to help him, because he has helped a lot of his friends. He mentioned names like Fireboy and Chinko Ekun. And his prayers were answered when Olamide texted him out of the blue to sign him.
However, he shared his journey as an artiste, “I ran away from home because of music.”
He released a four-track ep titled “OLOLADE” featuring just Olamide on a already viral and heavy tune “Omo Ope”, he worked with just two producers on this project, MAGICSTICKS and NIPKEYS. Magicsticks produced most of the EP.
