In a bid to end the ongoing ASUU strike, speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and some principal officers of the House have met with President Muhammadu Buhari.
We understand that the Speaker presented likely recommendations to help end the strike to President Buhari.
After the meeting, the Speaker told State House correspondents that another meeting with the President will hold on Thursday this week.

The PDP Board of Trustee BoT says it believes that the crisis rocking the party will be resolved soon.
The acting chairman of the PDP BoT, Adolphus Wagbara said this while briefing journalists shortly after a closed door meeting Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
Senator Wagbara said members of the board have been briefed by Governor Nyesom Wike and hope to make peace among members of the Party.

The Lagos State Government says plans are underway to increase the salaries of its work force by the end of this month.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says the planned salary review is due to the current inflation in the country.
The governor has also approved a twenty-five percent increase of core establishment duty allowance.

Eko Electricity Distribution Company says it is working closely with agencies of the Lagos state Government to protect the lives of customers in flood prone areas.
Chief Executive Officer of EKEDC, Tinuade Sanda started this at a press briefing to commemorate the global customer service week.
Sanda says the company will do it's best to ensure that it responds quickly to flood alerts from areas being flooded or submerged, to protect their customers from harm. The CEO of Eko Electricity Distribution Company urged customers to take advantage of its Customer complaint centers at Onike, Ajegunle, Ajangbadi, and Badagry, in any case of vandalism or misconduct by EKEDC staff.
