Following the release of his EP "Sorry I'm Late" Buju explains on #themiddayshow with @do2tun why upcoming artistes don't need a record deal to blow, because a lot of people feel a record deal solves your problem as an artiste, meanwhile as an artiste, all you need is money, that's why he referred to a line in one of his hit songs "if you no get money e dey kill idea".
However, Buju was formally under a record label owned by Burna Boy (Spaceship) but he refused a contract renewal in other to be an independent artiste.
