Grammy award-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy shared some controversial tweets about being the highest-paid artist in Africa and how he unlocked Afrobeats' door for Nigerian artists across the globe.
The fire keeps spreading with numerous artists and fans reacting to this wild fire that started spreading with threads of tweets from Burna Boy.
“Getting more money from music and shows than all your faves combined. FACTs” the artist tweeted.
“Na now all bloggers they wake up. 😂🤣 I've been making history and opening doors that could have never opened without me. Dem no see that wan post or talk about. Ma highest-paid they enter their eyes. They want me to put them on payroll but I never needed them,” he added.
The tweet immediately turned into a trending topic on the bird app Twitter, fans of different artists reacted to this - mostly 30BG and Wizkidfc.
The artist was ready to back up the tweet when he went live on Instagram responding to messages from fans.
“Davido is richer than you” a fan claims, “How”? Burna replied laughing hysterically.
The issue got tense when “godson45” from Wizkid’s team replied.
“Really wish I can post last year's invoice for the shows we did for all the artist's inflow and outflow. My team said I must not expose this, I know how much them dey pay artist international and local I dey inside game but too much talk nor they full basket who get money no they talk” Godson uploaded on his Instagram story.
Burna replied him with lots of courage to spill the prices each artist receives per show.

Burna Boy is one of the most rated African artists globally alongside Wizkid and Davido. Most people are still amused at what caused this outburst from Burna Boy. And he kept repeating “I’m cool with everybody on his Instagram live” Is this wildfire going to be put out anytime soon? We can only watch and hope the love in Afrobeats keeps going bigger.
