Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems has received two nominations at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2022.
The Nickelodeon kids choice awards which is expected to take place in Santa Monica USA, on Sunday, April 9, 2022.
The singer and songwriter bagged two nominations, "Best African Star" and also the "Global Music Star Awards.
The Nigerian artist is set to go head-to-head in the Global Music Star Awards category with international artists like BTS, (South Korea) Tones and I (Australia), Olivia Rodrigo (US) Adele (UK), and Camilo (Colombia).
The second category, African Star award is also filled with lots of African talents like Makhadzi, Focalistic, Pitso and Mosimane and Major League DJz.
Her collaboration with Wizkid in “Essence” earned her a Grammy Award nomination and she has won prestigious awards like NAACP Image Awards and a Soul Train Music Awards.
The artist also earned two US top 40 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 with her collaboration with Drake on the song “Fountains” from his album “Certified Lover Boy” and WizKid's single “Essence” in 2021. She's definitely not slowing down with this amazing accomplishment.
