The young sensational Nigerian artist Khaid, who’s currently signed to Nevile Records, a label owned by a popular social media influencer Sydney Talker - was on the #middayshow with Do2dtun and Eve, and he spoke about his growth, career, family, and the impact of Sydney Talker in his life.
“He hit me up on Instagram, I was basically doing my work my day to day mechanic work.”
Khaid reveals how the social media influencer hit him up after watching some of his Instagram freestyles while he was still doing his daily job mechanic.

“You are 17, so how long have you been doing music?” Eve asked.
Khaid replies “I started music fully at the age of 13.”
He discovered his talent at a really young age, and he as consistently dropped videos of his freestyle, which inspired him to start writing songs.
According to the artist and the label owner, “With You” is Khaid’s first official song, he has never recorded any song.
The name “Khaid” was given to the artist by Sydney Talker. “I saw the talent in him and I just needed something different and catchy, something that people could easily pronounce, something that stands for him in the future.”
Sydney Talker also shares the reason behind diving into the music industry. “It is something I have been doing behind doors, you could literally see I was promoting songs”
“With You” is a viral TikTok song, and also one of the biggest songs in 2022, he dropped an official video weeks after the release of the song.
Shekoni Suliemon Abiola is a seventeen-year-old talent from the streets of Ójò Lagos. “I’m from a family of 10, eight siblings” he added.
