Burna Boy Set To Perform At 2024 Grammys

The Grammys have revealed that Burna Boy, the Nigerian megastar, is set to make history as one of the featured artists at the 2024 live award show, marking a significant achievement for Africa.

In an announcement on January 22, 2024, Burna Boy is poised to become the first African artist to perform at the Grammys' live recording award show. This follows his groundbreaking win in 2021, where he became the first Nigerian artist within the domestic music industry to secure a Grammy for Best Global Album with his fifth release, 'Twice As Tall.'

With the 2024 Grammys scheduled for February 5, Burna Boy has garnered four nominations, setting a Nigerian record for the most nominations in a single Grammy year. Among these nominations is Best Melodic Rap Performance for his track 'Sittin' On Top Of The World,' featuring 21 Savage. Notably, this nomination marks him as the first Nigerian lead artist nominated outside of the global categories.

Burna Boy's upcoming performance at the 2024 Grammys follows his previous appearance at the 2021 Grammys Premiere show, solidifying his presence on the prestigious Grammy stage.
