Burna Wins BET's Best Intl' Act Award 3rd Time in Row

The award was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles

The multiple award-winning artist, Burna Boy, has bagged the BET Best International Act award for the third time in a row.

He was up against Wizkid, Aya Nakamura (France), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Emicida (Brazil). Other contenders in the Best International Act category were Headie One (United Kingdom), Young T & Bugsey (United Kingdom), and Youssopha (France).

This latest feat is in addition to his Grammy-award win for World Best Music Album in March.

The award was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday and was hosted by the 6-time BET Best actress winner, Taraji P. Henson.

"I made it this time to collect my award myself," he said as he collected the award plaque. Burna attended the ceremony this time and collected the award himself after he missed the opportunity to pick it up himself in 2019.

The superstar's hard work is paying off. He continues to rule this category following the release of three critically acclaimed albums back-to-back.⁣

He released 'Outside' in 2018 before his win in 2019. The release of 'African Giant' in 2019 saw him continue his dominance in the award in 2020. ⁣   Twice as Tall, his latest album was released in 2020.⁣
