This announcement was made in the early hours of April 1st on the official Twitter page of Fifa World Cup, a preview link of both audio and visuals was uploaded. 

“Hayya Hayya (Better Together) is the first single of the multi-song #fifaWorldCup Qatar 2022 official track featuring Trinidad Cardona, Davido & Aisha” as captioned.

Davido becomes the first Nigerian to feature in a World Cup soundtrack. Davido worked with two other artists on this project, Trinidad Cardona an American R&B singer and social media personality, and also Aisha.

Even though Nigeria crashed out of the World Cup qualifier, Davido is set to make a VIP journey to Qatar. Recall he spent time in Qatar after he sold-out a concert at O2 Arena UK.

However, Davido reacted to this by appreciating Fifa for the honor to work on this project.

“I’m honored to be featured on the Official @FIFAWorlcup 2022 soundtrack! See y’all later 2NOTE! This one is for Africa! TULE!!!! 🤞🏾❤️ WE RISE!” He tweeted.

This adds to the already amazing discography, records, and awards of the artist and is another massive win for Afrobeats.

The song will be performed for the first time today at the draw ceremony where teams will be grouped.
