Davido Gives Free Concert to Kids in Lagos

Davido put on a show for kids as they sang and danced along

Grammy Award-winning Superstar Davido was spotted giving a free concert to kids at a beach house in Nigeria, according to BBC.

The video shared on social media showed kids on a fence surrounding the beach house where Davido and his entourage were seen.

The performance was commended by many on social media. Some wrote that they would love Nigerian artists to do more of what Davido did for Nigerian kids.

The singer obliged the kids, putting on a show for them as they sang and danced along.

Born David Adeleke, Davido has been one of Africa's most prominent artists over the last decade.

The BBC report also stated some of Davido's main achievements in a decade. The 28-year-old Afro-pop singer has enjoyed massive career success since his first single, "Back When," debuted about a decade ago.

His third studio album, "A Good Time," was released in 2019 and featured on Billboard's Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop chart for 21 weeks.

His fourth album, "A Better Time" hit an impressive 213.2 million streams just after one month of its release.

Further, Davido is featured in a music video released on YouTube yesterday.

Garfield Spence, also known as Konshens, a Jamaican dancehall recording artist hooked Davido up for the video.

The “Boom Bang” video was directed by Jamaican dancehall star Demarco in Atlanta.

“We couldn't do Jamaica, we couldn't do Nigeria, so we met at the crossroads,” Konshens says of Atlanta, a major hub for both the Jamaican and Nigerian diaspora.

Konshens reveals that the video is just a fun vibe and that’s what he wants going into the summer.

"The past year has been way too serious, so we’re trying to loosen things up now," Konshens concludes.
