Kiiwii on Music, Girls, & Alcohol

In 2021, things are looking good for the rapper

Nigeria's Afro-trap recording artist/ songwriter, Kiiwii spent a brief moment with Kaylah on The Road Show recently. He talked about his music, his major source of inspiration, and other important issues such as fan reception to his latest music.

Kaylah: Who are your influencers when it comes to music?

Kiiwii: Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Source Kid, MI...

Kaylah: How long have you been rapping?

Kiiwii: 2012, 2014, people that know, they know it's been a long time.

In 2021, things are looking good for the rapper, as Kaylah said. He's signed on to Jagaban Records label. He confessed his circle of friends and business partners is showing themselves much love, to which Kaylah said she noticed.

Kaylah: What's on your playlist?

Kiiwii: The new song from Fireboy... I haven't put it on my phone yet. Oxlade is on it. And me, I'm on fire.

Kaylah: Is this a conscious effort for you to still tell the story through Hip-Hop?

Kiiwii: My own thing is like you're not just gonna get what I'm going to do. You're not just gonna know because it's just going to be Kiiwii. Like, this is Kiiwii. They can't tell me hip-hop is dead. We just gotta give them what they like.

Kaylah: Are you street savvy?

Kiiwii: I'm out there. I didn't come from the street at first but I went there. I felt it and tasted all of it.

Kaylah: Unlimited babes or unlimited alcohol?

Kiiwii: I don't want unlimited babes. I want unlimited alcohol, won't drink it all, I'll probably give it out. I want one babe then I want unlimited alcohol.
