Who's Next for Grammy Award in Nigeria?

Adekunle Gold, Rema, Patoranking may win Grammy Awards in 5 years - Academy Member

Recording academy member, Richardine Bartee recently revealed that Adekunle Gold, Olamide, and Patoranking could clinch the award in the next five years.

The publicist and recording academy member explained how people get nominated for the prestigious award. She also said that the Bella Shmurda, Rema, and Oxlade - kind of music makes them be in line for the award in the future.

During the interview, she said that Adekunle somehow reminds her of Fela because he did something when he performed in the U.S that was spectacular. Rema is like Chris Brown America has. She also encouraged Bell Shmurda to work with Americans and that can make it work.

Bartee is working hard to get African artists to perform for grammy.com for exposure sakes.

"That'll be coming soon, and I hope Made In Lagos wins Grammy soon," she said.

Nigerians rejoiced when Burna Boy's Twice as Tall album won in the Best Global Music Album category and Wizkid also snatched one for his song with Beyonce under the Best Music Video category.
