UK Removes Nigeria, 10 Others from Its Red List

The United Kingdom has removed Nigeria and 10 others from its red list.
The red list was reintroduced in late November as a precaution after the emergence of the Omicron variant.
UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid told members of the UK parliament that the Omicron had spread so widely across the world and the travel red list was now less effective

Are you already worried about the legality of your marriage at Ikoyi registry?  Well, the Federal Government says all marriages done at registries across the country, including the Ikoyi Registry, remain valid.
This clarification comes after reports yesterday surfaced about its invalidity due to a Federal High Court ruling.
The judgment reportedly said all marriages conducted by registries were worthless and unconstitutional.
But a statement by the Ministry of Interior says the reports are false, misleading and a deliberate distortion of the decision of the court.
It adds that there is an existing court judgment which empowers the government to conduct marriages.

Lagos recorded over half of Tuesday’s Covid-19 cases in Nigeria with a total of 431 out of the 730 new cases identified by the NCDC.
Abuja had 174 new cases while Rivers State recorded 38.
The agency in its latest data published however says no one died of the pandemic in the country yesterday as the number of deaths still remains, 2,983.
