This boost is said to be due to his alignment with Werner Music SA after he left Chocolate City

Nigerian singer, CKay has seen his song 'Love Nwatiti' rise in recent times. It debuted at no. 19 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales.

This was revealed via Billboard charts Twitter page on Tuesday, the 21st of September 2021.

'Love Nwatiti' was originally a song on CKay's sophomore EP, 'CKay the First'. This is the singer's debut input on the World Digital Song Sales chart, and CKay's first Billboard appearance.

The singer decided to do a remix with Joeboy and Ghanian star, Kuami Eugene. Not satisfied with that, CKay went ahead to make different versions of the song to further penetrate different markets. Just last week, CKay's 'Love Nwatiti' latest remix featuring Axel and DJ Yo took the top spot on the global Shazam chart.

This boost is said to be due to his alignment with Werner Music SA after he left Chocolate City.

On September 11, 2021, Ckay's 'Love Nwantiti' became the No. 1 song on Shazam's global charts. The chart tracks the most-searched songs in the world and ranks them on a chart.

He made the announcement on his Instagram page: NUMBER 1 MOST SHAZAMED SONG IN THE WORLD - LOVE NWANTITI (ft. DJ Yo & Ax’el)‼️ We literally global now! Emo-Afrobeat to the 🌍💜✨

This comes after Wizkid's 'Essence' became the most-shazamed song in the US, and after Master KG's 'Jerusalema' also became the most-shazamed song in the world in Q4 2020.

CKay left Chocolate City and signed to Warner Music Group, South Africa.
