Rock ’N’ Roll Legend Tina Turner Dies At Age 83

The death of the legendary singer was announced on her Instagram page.

12-time Grammy Award winner and legendary rock and roller, Anna Mae Bullock, popularly known as Tina Turner has died after a long illness at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich Switzerland.

The American-born singer has died at the age of 83 after decades of a legendary career, releasing chart-topping records and albums, multiple Grammy Awards, and BET Awards, being the first black artist and the first woman to be on the cover of Rolling Stone.

The Queen of “Rock ’n’ roll” died at the age of 83 following a long illness, after her retirement in 2013 she was diagnosed with Intestinal cancer in 2016 and had a kidney transplant in 2017.

Tina Turner was born on Nov. 26, 1939, in Brownsville, Tennessee, and spent her childhood in Nutbush, Tennessee, which she sang about her in 1973's "Nutbush City Limit."
