The Lagos State government has shut down Ojodu Grammar School, Babs Funfunwa Millennium Senior Secondary School, and Ojodu Junior High school, following the fatal accident that occurred yesterday. Commissioner for Education Folashade Adefisayo says the schools will remain closed until January next year. Eye witnesses say about 15 persons were killed but the Lagos State Police Command insists only two persons died.

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with parents, relatives and friends of Ojodu Grammar School students who lost their lives in an accident in fatal accident yesterday. In a statement signed by his media aide Femi Adesina, President Buhari prayed that for comfort for the grieving parents and relatives at this very difficult time. He also prayed for quick recovery for those injured.

As a result, all adjoining streets / feeder roads leading to Ahmadu Bello Way from Adeola Odeku Intersection will be closed temporarily to traffic from the early hours of tomorrow. Chairman of the group, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu while speaking at the media launch, revealed that its products which consist of pasta, sugar, edible oil, flour, and rice, aim not only to satisfy the food need of the nation, but also to contribute to the growth of the nation’s economy.
Rabiu further disclosed the plans of BUA Foods to work even harder to grow the nation’s rice industry in addition to its already growing production capacity. He also expressed the group's desire to ensure the organization works in line with the Government’s import substitution policy.
